Fluid Body Water Therapy

Transformative aquatic bodywork and somatic massage in warm, therapeutic water.


Experience an immersive embodiment journey into yourself, right here in the heart of Ubud, Bali.

 

This unique form of water-based bodywork works on multiple layers of your being, dissolving emotional, mental, and physical tension to leave you soft, lucid, and deeply present with what matters most.


No two sessions are ever the same. Each Fluid Body experience unfolds intuitively, guided by your body’s moment-to-moment needs and natural rhythms.


Step into total surrender and receiving as you are massaged, stretched, and held in our two-hour rejuvenation sessions,  a deeply nurturing aquatic therapy that restores balance, connection, and flow.

Your Session

Your session begins on land with a rapport building

tea ceremony. We begin to get a little into your world and settle into some of your intentions for our time together. 

​

From there we go into the water. You are invited into total passivity and surrender. There is nothing left for you to do from here. 

I facilitate your journey and experience with the water, offering a series of movements that, from the outside, might look like a dance. Your bodies sub-conscious embodied feedback, acts like our guide, providing me with endless information to help bring you towards deeper and deeper states of relaxation.

My state is one of meditative, unconditional positive regard. The warmth and support of the water combined with the profoundly sensational movements your body will experience  brings you into a timeless state of healing. 

​

​Our session may include submersions  and/or the use of fabrics in some cases. These options are discussed in advance of our session. Our time in the water lasts for 1 to 1.5 hrs. Nearing the end of water time, we will begin to transition with more grounding forms of bodywork and eventually a return to self and the ground at the side of the pool

for landing and supported integration time. This may look like quiet presence, or you may wish to process elements of you session with your practitioner.

We exit the pool, you have a shower and we take one last sip of tea and our session is complete.

        Your body will physically receive:

  • Passive, assisted deep stretching

  • Gentle traction 

  • Passive joint movement

  • Massage

  • Myofascial release

  • Joint mobilization 

  • Moments of big movement as if being danced in water

  • Moments of deep stillness and a sense of solitude

  • Moments of physical support end embrace

What is Healing Dance?

 

Healing Dance is an holistic, aquatic technique developed by Alexander George in 1993.  

 

The guiding philosophy of the work is  that movement is the "medicine" and in the experience of "received dance" the healing process in the body is activated.

 

Receivers experience the sensation of lightness and weightlessness. Giver establishes and accentuates the natural rhythmic field of the session, helping find the various "rhythms of awareness" for clients.

 

Physical and emotional blockages are resolved in the polarity between freedom and security.

 

Advanced body mechanics are taught to create movements of greater subtlety and sensitivity.

​

The receiver will be welcomed and mirrored should they find their own movement in the session.
